Shabbat Celebration Kit

for Congregation Sons of Israel students?

By providing Shabbat Celebration Kits on a rotating basis in classrooms,

we encourage Jewish Living and Learning within homes.

Our Shabbat Celebration Kits include both lasting and single use items:

       Candle lighting:  Shabbat Candles

Kiddush:  Grape juice

Motzi:  Challah rolls and Challah cover

Student Learning:  A journal in which a child adds Shabbat reflections to those of their classmates.

·        Through your generosity, we could distribute more Shabbat Kits!

·        A limited number of grades are currently involved in this program.

·        Children sometimes receive a Shabbat Bag only once in a year.

·        This Jewish experience could be offered to students more often.

·        With increased funding, the program could reach additional families.
